At the start of the season, "best case scenario" was a bubble team that squeaks into the tournament. After an impressive 85-74 win over Purdue to close out the regular season, IU is now squarely in the tournament and probably looking at a 3 or 4 seed.
Here's a few of the highlights of this improbable regular season:
* Beat #1 Kentucky
* Beat #2 Ohio State
* Beat #5 Michigan State
* 1 of only 4 teams to beat three Top 5 teams in the past decade. 1st Indiana team to accomplish that feat since the Perfect 1976 Hoosiers and only Indiana team to accomplish it in the regular season.
* Beat 5 teams that are currently ranked
* Swept Purdue with both wins in double-digit fashion
* Took back the state of Indiana -- 21-point win at Evansville, 16-point win over Butler, 11-point win over Notre Dame, 17-point win at Purdue, 11-point win over Purdue
* 11-point road win in the B1G/ACC Challenge
* 13-0 in non-conference play
* 24 regular season wins
Truly, an amazing and unforgettable regular season.
