Unfortunately, between last year and this year, there are plenty of disasterous performances to choose from, but this one takes the cake in my eyes.
No excuse for it. Especially against a bad team on your home floor. Also, the Hoosiers had the opportunity to really gain some momentum and feel good about a 3-game winning streak, a winning record in the Big Ten, and a winning overall record. But they pissed all of that away with that performance.
The number of offensive rebounds and second chance points they gave up against Iowa was truly offensive. And IU's offense looked like it did in the 2nd half collapse against Illinois and the whole game at Michigan.
Against the better teams in the conference and/or on the road is difficult to watch, but somewhat understandable in this rebuilding process. But that effort at home against Iowa was simply inexcusable. I was going to get into some of the pathetic stats, but I am already starting to repeat myself because I don't know what else to say about that horrific performance. So, instead, I am going to stop here and try to get my mind back to that impressive Colts victory and enjoy the fact that Indy is headed back to the Super Bowl. I am sure there will be plenty of links popping up on the right side of this here blog that will go into full detail of the unsightly numbers.

I'm not sure what to say. Crean is an up-tempo guy so he needs to get some better talent and some bigs. Most of these guys, like Pritch, can't cut it in an uptempo system. Maybe he'd be ok in a motion system. That said, Iowa isn't more talented than we are right now. Maybe its time to run their asses in practice until they stop acting like pussies.
I certainly disagree with the limited playing time for Elston. He makes mistakes, but he's got IQ and upside. I do not understand the short hook. That pisses me off because TC's going to fuck this kid up and he'll transfer. Go ahead TC, piss off the home grown talent and see how many Indiana HS coaches call you with prospects. Davis and Sampson pissed off the HS coaches and we missed out on just about every kid that came though Indiana in the past 10 years. AND THAT WAS A GOLDEN ERA starting with Sean May through Conley, Oden, Harongody, Zeller, etc....
Another thing, enough with Daniel Moore. ARE YOU SERIOUS? Hulls and Moore should never be on the floor together in a Big Ten game. Moore is a walk on and nothing else. Sit that kid, give him some mop up time or foul prevention time, but his minutes need to go to the PLAYERS, not IU's Rudy Ruttiger. I'd put Creek out there on crutches first.

Completely agree with the Elston thing. He is the one guy that has the athleticism that can take IU to the next level. I love the bounce in his step and the fire that he exudes. That is my biggest complaint with TC. I would hate to see Elston transfer. He should be playing all day long over Pritchard. If anyone is going to transfer, let it be Pritchard. I obviously do not know what goes on in practice. I would have to figure it is something that Elston is doing outside of game day to cause this. The lack of Elston playing time makes this season even more frustrating.
