IU 66 Michigan 72
I can't do it. I just can't. I am so completely devastated right now. I am absolutely sick for these players.
The first comment tonight came from Ben and it was so spot on, I had to copy onto the main page. Well said, Ben. Your words have allowed me to swallow back down the little bit of vomit that I have had in the back of my throat for the last 10 minutes.

Here's the new plan...tivo all the games...wait to see if they win or lose. If they win, watch the game...if they lose, delete it.
IU basketball is kind of like the economy...it ain't gettin' any better until late 2009/early 2010!!
That's as optimistic as I can be right now.

Wow. Dart Speechless? This team has more heart than any team we've seen since the player rode the Davis Wave to the Final game in 2002. I am so heartbroken for these kids. They put up more effort than I've seen from an IU team in a long time and oh by the way... they do it in spite of the fact that everyone has picked them to finish dead last in the big ten... and not win a game for the rest of the year... and in front of some of the smallest crowds EVER at assemby hall. there are a lot of things to not like about this team. Poor Free throw shooting, lack luster defense at times, terrible shot selection, and WAY too many turnovers, but you an NEVER question the
EFFORT, or the HUSTLE that these kids give every night.
This is truly heartbreaking to see a team that wants to win and be HOOSIERS as much as this team does and watch them struggle and lose close games in this way.
Hats off to the boys and Coach Crean!!

no, i disagree. i know it's painful, but what diference does it make if we win 8 or 11? it was heartbreaking for those kids who work so hard, but i'll watch every minute i can and be happy that VJ3 looked a little more promising last night. nick williams looked pretty good. i'm already sold on pritch, and still think dumes will learn shot selection when he's not "the man" next year. the FTs are what kills me!
Cook, Spot on man. I know it sucks to watch us lose every time we step on the court and I'm still not sure that we will win any games in the Big 10 season, but this team is a whole lot stronger than I thought we would be.
Don't get me wrong, we still suck, but if you read the Indianapolis Star today, Tom Crean is saying that there is significant progress being made. And that my friends is about all we can ask for.
So count me in as a loyal watcher. No matter how bad it hurts to watch us lose like we did last night.
